JUNIOR TRADE MARKETING MANAGER Accountable for quality, standards, service and desired outputs within inter-related functional areas of responsibility. This role will work with various closely related concrete variables, requiring an understanding of the theory or practices underpinning inter-related functional processes. The purpose of this role is to manage Trade Execution initiatives and to efficiently and effectively ensure a consistent and brand aligned customer experience for all customers & shoppers. This role entails working closely with colleagues, customers and business partners to manage the BevCo portfolio for mutually beneficial growth, and constantly elevating in-store execution and the measurement thereof in order to improve BevCo brand desirability at point of purchase, in turn lifting BevCo's revenue and profitability. Key Accountabilities and Outputs Manage Trade Execution Activities Communicate to and entrench trade execution objectives with Sales & Merchandising team Works closely with Marketing team to effectively implement campaigns and promotions across all brands, both at a national level as well as regional initiatives Ensure the placement of appropriate point of sale material that aligns to brand, pack and channel strategies Drive adherance to optimal layouts, planograms and best suited secondary placement in store Assist sales team with solution-based selling that will drive both sales in and sales out Together with the Head of Trade Marketing, develop & refine the look of success in trade execution guard rails by brand, pack and channel across the BevCo portfolio Own, Monitor and Further Develop Tools that drive Execution, Develop and drive tools to highlight risks and opportunities for the Sales and/or Marketing team. This will include all commercial areas, for example: Distribution Pricing Product development opportunities Promotional ideas Create focus on these risks/opportunities and create the necessary trackers and communication around these to ensure either risk is mitigated or opportunity is capitalised on by holding the relevant stakeholders accountable for the necessary implementation Point of Sale & Coolers As part of the Marketing and Trade Marketing team, assist in the development of Point of Sale material, ensuring such POS elements contain the necessary call to action from a shopper point of view. This may also include providing guidance on the structural design of POS to ensure it is optimally designed for placement in the relevant sales channels Develop and manage point of sale packages suited to each of the different sales channels and manage adherance thereto. This is applicable across all BevCo brands Track and monitor all BevCo point of sale stock on hand & usage as well as the replenishment thereof Development of annual cooler budgets by region/function, and track and monitor cooler stock on hand and deployment in line with budgets, in conjunction with Regional Cooler Coordinators Develop and find ways to optimise cooler tracking and management Define Point of Purchase strategies Together with Head of Trade Marketing: generate in-stoe standards that drive maximum shopability and easier navigation of BevCo products through shopper insights and best practice define BevCo's in-store "picture of success", ensure this is communicated, and manage compliance thereto manage trade marketing and category projects with franchise trade partners relative to the areas of responsibility Serve as the link between Marketing and Sales Translate marketing strategy into an actionable plan for the sales and merchandising team Align all sales and merchandising plans with marketing and trade marketing strategy Develop effective working relationships with Franchise trade partners, Marketing, Sales operations and Field Sales to ensure alignment and delivery of plans General Business & Financial Management Actively participate in operational planning and budgeting processes Drive continuous improvement through streamlining and optimising relevant operational practices, processes and systems Ensure adherence to operational & financial frameworks of practice Control cost and take the necessary action to mitigate any financial risks or non-compliance Qualifications and Experience Grade 12 / Matric / NQF level 4 (Essential) B Com/IMM qualification (Advantageous) At least 2 years' experience in Operational Execution and/or BTL Brand management POS and Trade Execution Point of sale merchandising support Formal and Informal trade experience Cross function collaboration internally and externally Robust IT Skills Key Qualities Communication & Relationship Building Routine communication with regions, customers & peers Internal and external relationships Problem Solving Proactive identification of functional problems related to a specific process, determine cause and impact, and choose the best alternative to solve the problem based on guidelines provided and an understanding of the theory or practices underpinning the problem.
