The QMS Leader is responsible for maintaining and continuously improving the site’s Quality Management System in compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and other applicable standards. This role ensures that quality processes are effectively implemented, audited, and sustained, serving as the key interface with both internal stakeholders and external auditors. Your role: Lead the implementation, maintenance, and improvement of the site's Quality Management System (QMS). Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, customer-specific requirements, and other regulatory standards. Plan, execute, and coordinate internal audit programs, management reviews, and third-party certification audits. Monitor and drive corrective and preventive action processes for system-level findings and nonconformities. Maintain QMS documentation including policies, procedures, and work instructions, ensuring version control and accessibility. Act as the main point of contact for external auditors, customers, and internal stakeholders regarding quality system matters. Train and support functional departments in understanding and applying QMS requirements. Facilitate risk-based thinking and continuous improvement practices throughout the organization. Support integration of customer and corporate quality initiatives into local QMS practices. What do you need? Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related field. 3–5 years of experience in managing or coordinating Quality Management Systems in the automotive manufacturing industry. In-depth knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 standards, and customer-specific requirements. Certified internal auditor for IATF 16949 (preferred). Strong knowledge of core quality tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC). Proven experience with audit facilitation, nonconformity management, and document control. Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills. Proficient in English and Spanish (minimum B1/B2 English level). Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and drive a culture of compliance and improvement.
