Summary Test Engineer is responsible for provide support for testing equipment on the production lines, attend planning meetings, be responsible for having replacement equipment and/or parts for assigned areas in stock, perform equipment and fixture maintenance in a timely manner, engage with suppliers, and implement improvements in assigned areas. Education and Experience Required Systems, Electronics, Electrical, and/or Mechatronics Engineer. Experience in wireless networks, LabVIEW, Python, Linux, and functional testing for PCBAs. Required Knowledge and Skills Ability to communicate orally and in writing in Spanish and English. Leadership. Ability to analyze needs to design, test, and develop appropriate systems. Capable of implementing poka-yoke code in test stations. Ensure hardware and software functionality during maintenance and testing phases. Recommend software updates for existing programs and systems. Interpersonal skills to provide timely support when needed. Project Management. Roles and Responsibilities Prepare instructions and/or procedures for calibrating and maintaining test equipment. Manage and control the necessary materials to repair test systems. Contact and negotiate with spare parts and equipment suppliers (through the purchasing department). Supervise Test Technicians. Plan/systemize preventive maintenance for assigned areas. Develop and implement improvements to the software/test systems to meet production requirements. Meet departmental and company goals and objectives. Improve quality, yields, and manufacturing and testing processes. Design electrical test systems to be error-proof (Poka-yoke). Develop failure analysis with other support functions. Ensure test equipment meets specific calibration and maintenance requirements. Eliminate redundant tests without affecting product quality. Perform tasks or duties required by your supervisor to achieve company objectives. Prepare daily reports related to completed activities. Comply with legal requirements, as well as Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental Systems applicable to the position. Attend scheduled training sessions. Carry out any other activities assigned by your direct supervisor.
