Senior Fire Engineer

Our client, a respected and long-standing multidisciplinary consulting engineering firm, is seeking to appoint a Senior Fire Engineer to join their team in Pretoria. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to lead complex fire engineering projects, provide mentorship to junior staff, and contribute to the continued growth of the firms fire division. Key Responsibilities · Lead the design and implementation of fire safety systems across commercial, industrial, and public-sector projects · Conduct fire risk assessments, prepare fire strategy reports, and liaise with clients and approval authorities · Ensure compliance with SANS codes and other relevant fire engineering standards · Work closely with architects, mechanical engineers, and project teams · Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers and technologists · Contribute to business development and client relationship management Minimum Requirements · BSc or BEng in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) · Professionally registered with ECSA (PrEng or PrTechEng) · Minimum 68 years experience in fire engineering within the consulting engineering environment · Proficient in fire engineering software and design tools · Strong leadership, communication, and client-facing skills If you are a passionate and experienced fire engineer looking to take the next step in your career, we would love to hear from you.
