Applications are invited from suitably qualified & experienced candidates to fill Process Engineer position in the Assembly Department - Production based in Kariega, Eastern Cape Job Summary Provide Production with technical support to develop and setup production processes, implement new processes and attend to production problems which could prevent the achievement of quality targets and scheduled production volumes in an efficient and cost-effective manner. On a continuing basis identify improvement opportunities which will lead to robust processes, productivity, efficiency and cost improvements. Key responsibilities Liaise between Production and Supporting departments to ensure station readiness during major projects and minor improvement implementations Participate in improvement workshops and implementation of ergonomic and standardized processes Analyze impact of ECRs, implement whilst maintaining process standards on the production line Participate in Pre-Series buildability topics and resolution thereof Liaison with supporting departments on problem analysis, corrective action and standardized process implementation Conduct vehicle audits and sectional audits prior to external/internal audits by Konzern or Certification bodies Ensure continuous improvement of processes, updating and/or creating process documentation where applicable Ensure FIS data reporting accuracy, coordinate the creation of new for better management of processes Qualifications & Experience needed At least 3-5 years relevant experience in a production environment 2 to 3 years experience as a lead moderator 2 to 3 years experience in leading a cross-divisional team in a workshop environment National Diploma / B.degree in Industrial Engineering / Electrical/ Mechanical or Mechatronics In depth knowledge of production quality and production management. In depth understanding of the build of the vehicle, both Assembly and EOL Advanced working knowledge of FIS-eQS Knowledge of audit processes (FVA, Konzern etc.) Understanding of technical drawings. Good understanding of ISO Quality Management Systems & Document Control Sound communication skills at all levels: verbal/written. Computer literacy (Windows, MS Office, FIS Reporting) Understanding of time studies and impact thereof. Tracking costs of expendable tools and identifying cost saving thereof. Knowledge of Health and Safety (OHSE) Added Advantage CAD / Micro station literate Strong technical analysis skills Speak and read German systems literacy (SAP, HyperKVS, AVON,AP)
