Chartered Accountant (CA) SA

Purpose of the position: Support the Reporting, Finance & Tax Function. Only qualified CAs should apply. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Qualified CA(SA) Minimum 1 year experience out of articles. Technically sound with IFRS. Experience in consolidations advantageous. Strong interest in tax and SARS experience advantageous. Good verbal and written communication skills in English. Clean criminal record. Advanced experience Microsoft Excel. Must ideally reside in the Johannesburg area or be willing to move, remote working is not an option. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Support the finance deparment in assessing new IFRS standards, develop accounting policies and manuals to facilitate adherence to IFRS. Assisting in drafting of company financial statements in line with IFRS and Companies Act requirements. Analyse accounts upon request. Ensure all the journals are up to date and correct. Advise and assist with the necessary training in accounting, administration and computer usage. Assist other accounting staff, specifically at rush periods. Help the external auditors to complete a timeous audit. Carry out ad hoc projects and investigations as and when necessary. Group Reporting. Tax administration and compliance (Tax compliance, consulting and accounting). Other Ad hoc reporting duties.
