A leading engineering consultancy is seeking a Professional Structural Engineer to join their Structural Department in Johannesburg. Location: Johannesburg, South Africa Position Type: Permanent Relocation: Not considered Requirements Bachelor of Engineering degree (BEng) from an accredited university. Professionally registered (e.g., Pr Eng or equivalent). At least 10 years of professional experience in structural engineering. Minimum 23 years post-registration experience. Strong report writing and communication skills. Proficiency in structural design software and manual calculation methods. Demonstrated project financial knowledge (budgeting, forecasting, invoicing). A collaborative, flexible approach and a strong professional presence. Key Responsibilities Lead conceptual and detailed structural design for complex building and infrastructure projects. Provide efficient and innovative engineering solutions using the latest software and first-principles calculations. Draft and review technical reports and project documentation. Supervise and mentor junior engineers and technicians. Oversee quality assurance processes across project lifecycles. Support resource planning, budgeting, and invoicing. Represent technical work and service offerings to clients and stakeholders. Contribute to bids, proposals, and business development activities.
