Senior Electrician

Our client a leader in the FMCG Plastic manufacturing industry is seek an experienced electrician to join their team based in Durban. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Matric Electrical Trade Test Tertiary Electronics Diploma / N3-N5 Electrical Engineering Minimum 3-5years experience in FMCG Plastic manufacturing environment. Heavy current knowledge, i.e., connection supply to LV sub-rooms (/- 4MVA) Sound Knowledge of PLC, HMI, DRIVES, and maintenance thereof. MAIN JOB FUNCTIONS Inspections and monitoring of MV to LV link (11kV -380V) Electrical maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of all Plant production machinery (inclusive of control systems & control instruments) Installation, testing, and repairs of motors up to 120kw. (DC / Induction / Servo) Installing and upgrading to DB boards. (up to 800A capacity) Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and service equipment as needed. Good knowledge of Electrical and Schematic drawings, manuals, and applications. Provide training and mentor new Technicians, apprentices & operators. Follow verbal, written, and telephonic instructions. Sound knowledge of health and safety regulations. Must be able to work on standby.
