Fitter & Turner / Machinist

Well established engineering firm based just outside of Bedford is seeking a qualified or highly experienced Fitter & Turner/Machinist. Be the one to contribute to cutting-edge projects that shape the future of the industry! Responsibilities: Operate and maintain various types of mechanical equipment, such as lathes, mills and grinders. Fabricate, assemble and install mechanical components based on detailed drawings and specifications Perform routine inspections and maintenance to ensure machinery runs at optimal efficiency Interpret technical drawings and engineering blueprints with precision Work closely with the engineering team to identify areas for improvement and resolve issues. Qualifications: Proven experience as Fitter & Turner/Machinist Strong mechanical skills and the ability to work with a range of equipment Proficient in reading technical drawings and schematics High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues efficiently MIG, TIG and Arc Welding Relevant qualifications or certifications (preferred) Own vehicle preferred Fluent in Afrikaans and English Accommodation and fuel will be provided by the client
