Mechanical Design Engineer

Minimum Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Masters degree advantageous). 3 to 5 years of solid experience in mechanical design engineering. Expertise in 3D CAD modelling, with proficiency in SolidWorks. Hands-on experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools. In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and industry standards. Vehicle and valid Drivers License. Familiarity with relevant mechanical design regulations and compliance standards. Roles and Responsibilities: Transform client requirements and project objectives into innovative, functional product designs, ensuring design feasibility and performance. Create detailed and precise 3D CAD models and technical drawings using SolidWorks, ensuring accuracy and adherence to design specifications. Manage the prototyping phase by collaborating with production and R&D teams to develop functional prototypes, ensuring thorough testing and refinement. Conduct detailed design validation through simulations, FEA, and real-world testing to guarantee product reliability and compliance with engineering standards. Partner with teams in manufacturing, quality assurance, and project management to ensure seamless transition from design to production, addressing any design-related challenges. Stay informed on industry advancements and emerging technologies, proposing and implementing innovative solutions to maintain a competitive edge. Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications, test reports, and project progress updates, ensuring traceability and clear communication. Enforce strict quality control processes throughout the design phase, ensuring all engineering designs meet internal and external compliance standards.
