Manufacturing Engineer Based : Barrow in Furness - Onsite Hourly Rate: £35.02 PAYE or £47.14 Umbrella inside IR35 37 Hours per week BAE Systems are looking for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join their Operations team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a critical role in delivering robust manufacturing solutions across the product lifecycle – from concept to delivery. You'll bring technical leadership, problem-solving skills, and a proactive mindset to drive continuous improvement and ensure the highest standards of safety, quality, and performance. The Job Translate engineering design intent into capable manufacturing data and processes Lead Manufacturing Engineering activities and contribute to high-profile projects Mentor and guide junior engineers, checking and approving work as needed Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality regulations Identify resource needs and plan activities to meet project schedules Develop, test, and optimise manufacturing processes and tooling Drive performance through KPI tracking and root cause analysis Support business cases for process improvement and capital investment The Skills Significant experience in a Manufacturing Engineering environment Strong leadership, team development and performance management capabilities Proficiency in process development, engineering data, and industrial methods Excellent communication, document control, and problem-solving skills Working knowledge of relevant Engineering and SHE standards If you would like to be considered for this role please don't hesitate to click apply or call Levi Jackson on 0161 694 9192 for more information.
