Mobile Electrician Data Centre Installations Region: Cambridge, Hertfordshire & Essex Salary: £43,500 OT & Vehicle Hours: Monday to Friday, 40-hour week Type: Permanent, Full-Time Represented by Nexus Careers Your Specialist FM & Technical Recruitment Partner Were working with a major player in the data centre and critical infrastructure space to recruit a Mobile Electrician to carry out electrical installation work across a portfolio of high-security data centre sites. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys autonomy, variety, and getting stuck into technically satisfying work without being dragged into endless reactive maintenance callouts. The Role As a Mobile Electrician, your focus will be on installing electrical systems and components as part of planned project work across live and new-build data centres. The work is steady, well-organised, and backed by proper materials, risk assessments, and scheduling. Duties include: Electrical installation of containment, cabling, distribution boards, and power systems Upgrades and modifications to existing LV infrastructure Cable tray, basket, and conduit installs Supporting testing and commissioning teams Collaborating with site-based engineers, project managers, and client stakeholders Ensuring full compliance with H&S and electrical regs (18th Edition as standard) Youll be working across a region covering Cambridge, Hertfordshire, and Essex , with a fully expensed van, fuel card, tools, uniform, and access to secure sites all provided. Youll need: NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds 2365 / 2330 18th Edition (essential) Full UK Driving Licence ECS Gold Card (preferred but not essential) A proactive attitude, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work unsupervised Experience working on commercial or industrial installations data centres a bonus
