Senior driver / handler

Our client based in Sunbury-on-Thames is looking for a Senior Driver / Handler. Job Title: Senior Driver / Handler Hours: Monday – Friday, 07:00 – 16:00 Location: Sunbury-on-Thames Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 Requirements: Full UK Driving Licence Key Responsibilities: Safely drive company vehicles for UK and occasional international deliveries/collections Load, unload, and secure fine art, antiques, and designer furniture with extreme care Carry out condition checks and basic packing/crating on-site Act as team lead on jobs requiring additional porters or junior staff Liaise professionally with clients during collections and installations Ensure accurate paperwork and job documentation (delivery notes, condition reports, etc.) Work collaboratively with warehouse and operations teams to ensure smooth scheduling Report vehicle defects and ensure the van is kept clean, roadworthy, and legally compliant Adhere to all safety and road transport regulations Ideal Candidate: Previous experience in fine art or high-value goods handling is essential Proven driving experience (including vans and potentially 3.5T Luton) Clean full UK driving licence Confident working in high-end residential, gallery, and commercial environments Knowledge of wrapping, packing, and handling procedures for delicate and valuable items Basic IT literacy for completing job forms and using job management systems Passport and willingness to travel internationally on occasion Please note: As you can appreciate we are currently overwhelmed with applications of individuals looking for both short term and permanent work and we can therefore only contact those applications that have relevant skills for positions that we currently have available.
