Job Description
Location: Puebla, Mexico (OMI) Company Description OMI is a technology company that designs and manufactures electrical, mechanical, and computing solutions. Clients come to us with real-world product challenges, and we work hand-in-hand with them to create purpose-built components and integrated systems to solve those challenges. We specialize in custom electric motors and electro-mechanical systems for industries such as automotive, medical equipment, oil & gas equipment, marine, agriculture, as well as others. Job Overview As a Product Designer , you’ll support the design, development, and validation of mechanical components for prototype recreational vehicles. You’ll collaborate across design, engineering, and manufacturing teams to bring innovative concepts to life, while ensuring functionality and manufacturability. Responsibilities Design and model 3D components using SolidWorks or Fusion 360. Create and revise technical drawings according to manufacturing standards. Participate in prototype assembly, testing, and validation. Prepare files for CNC machining, 3D printing, laser cutting, and sheet metal bending. Execute 3D scans and assist with reverse engineering tasks. Document design iterations and maintain traceability across versions. Support supplier communication: request quotes, follow-up deliveries, and solve technical issues. Join design review meetings and contribute with improvement proposals. Keep technical documentation and CAD files organized in company repositories. Apply continuous improvement practices to enhance tools, methods, and processes. Qualifications Are currently in your final semesters or recently graduated in Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar. Have hands-on experience with CAD software (SolidWorks/Fusion 360). Feel comfortable communicating in Spanish and intermediate English. Are proactive and organized.
