Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Head to lead and grow our wood products business, focusing on Sawn Timber, Plywood, and Veneer . This leadership role will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans, managing key customer relationships, and expanding market share. Key Responsibilities: Lead sales strategy and execution for the region. Identify and develop new business opportunities and markets for sawn timber, plywood, and veneer products. Build, manage, and nurture strong client relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and end-users. Develop and implement region-specific pricing, channel, and distribution strategies. Collaborate with production and logistics teams to ensure timely order fulfillment and client satisfaction. Analyze market trends, competition, and customer needs to refine sales strategies. Attend industry events, exhibitions, and trade shows to represent the company and build networks. Regularly report sales performance and market intelligence to senior leadership. Qualifications & Experience: Minimum 10 years of proven international sales experience in wood products (sawn timber, plywood, veneer). Deep understanding of Western Hemisphere markets and client networks. Strong negotiation and contract management skills. Experience working in multicultural environments; international travel required. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team management skills. Proficiency in English is a must; knowledge of French is an advantage. Bachelor’s degree in Business, International Trade, Forestry, or related field; MBA preferred.
