Data Quality Assistant (CONNECT Systems) Salary: The starting salary is £34,808, which includes allowances totalling £2,928. The salary is broken down as £31,880 basic salary, which will increase annually until you reach the top of the scale - £34,108. Plus, a location allowance of £1,928 and a non-pensionable allowance of £1,000. Location / Hybrid Working: This role will be based at our Newlands Park, Sydenham location and may occasionally require travel to other Met locations. We actively support hybrid working solutions, with the expectation that you can have 2 days working at home p/week. The Role: Help us build a better-connected Met. The Metropolitan Police Service is on a major digital transformation journey, and you could be part of it. As a CONNECT Data Quality Assistant , you'll play a key role in supporting one of our most significant operational systems, ensuring that the data behind frontline policing is accurate, accessible and reliable. CONNECT is our new integrated platform designed to streamline how we manage, share and access information across the Met. Your job? To help ensure the data feeding this system is clean, well-structured and fit for purpose. You’ll join a supportive team within our Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) function who are the people powering precise, data-driven policing in London. You’ll work closely with colleagues to investigate and correct duplicate or incorrectly linked records, build expert-level knowledge of the CONNECT system, and support users as they get up to speed. We’re looking for someone who loves getting stuck into messy data, spotting patterns, fixing problems, and making things work better, basically someone with an eye for detail and a head for systems. Essential skills: Must be IT literate, proficient in the use of MS Outlook, Teams, Word and intermediate level in the use of Excel is essential. Experience of working with large data sets and knowledge of data standards. Attention to detail and able to interrogate and analyse data effectively. Ability to manage high volumes of data or workloads to ensure priority tasks are achieved. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. A team player, willing to listen, learn and share ideas. Ability to work with minimal supervision and be able to feedback to managers. Experience of working in a challenging, change driven environment. Willingness to undertake ongoing training, learning and development for the role. Desirable Criteria: Previous experience using CONNECT and MPS legacy Systems e.g. PNC, CRIS, COPA, IIP. Security Clearance: Due to the secure nature of our work, successful candidates must pass all vetting and security requirements, which for this role means Vetting Clearance is Force Clearance Level, Recruitment Vetting (RV), and National Security Vetting (NSV) Level, Counter Terrorism Check (CTC).
