Mechanical Project Manager: Overview: The Mechanical Project Manager will lead the mechanical systems design and installation for a data center project in Spain. This role focuses on the cooling systems housed on the technical roof, ensuring efficient and reliable operation for the two-phase project. The position is expected to last 20 months. Responsibilities Manage the design, installation, and testing of mechanical systems, including HVAC, cooling towers, and chillers. Coordinate with CSA and electrical teams to integrate mechanical systems with building and power infrastructure. Oversee subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of mechanical components. Develop and maintain project schedules, aligning with the project duration. Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and environmental requirements in Spain. Conduct quality assurance and risk management for mechanical systems. Provide technical guidance and regular progress reports to project stakeholders. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Minimum of 7 years of experience managing mechanical systems in complex projects, with a preference for data center experience. Experience in oil & gas, hospital, or heavy industrial projects is acceptable. Strong knowledge of cooling systems and HVAC design for critical infrastructure. Familiarity with Spain’s local regulations and permitting processes is highly desirable. Proficiency in project management and mechanical design software.
