Junior Java Developer

At HY Legal and Services, we are supporting a fast-scaling global logistics and technology group in its international expansion. We are currently looking for proactive and detail-oriented Junior Java Developers to join an on-site, project-based role within their R&D center in Madrid. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a high-impact technical environment, working with distributed systems and global teams on cutting-edge backend projects. Key Responsibilities: Participate in backend development using Java and related frameworks (Spring, MyBatis) Assist in system analysis, design, development, testing (UAT), and deployment Collaborate with senior engineers and product teams across global units Work on highly secure environments, adhering to strict internal data and hardware policies Occasionally provide technical support during off-hours in coordination with international teams Requirements: 1–3 years of professional experience with Java (internships can be included) Solid understanding of Java core concepts (JDK, collections, concurrency, IO) Familiarity with backend technologies such as Redis, Kafka, or distributed systems Fluency in English (written and spoken) Strong communication skills and a structured, self-driven work approach Availability to work full-time on-site at the company’s Madrid office ✨ Preferred: Knowledge of Chinese (Mandarin) is a strong plus Previous experience in logistics, cloud computing, or large-scale tech environments Compensation: Competitive salary based on experience, Location: On-site – Madrid, Spain What We Offer: A full-time project-based contract, with potential for permanent hire Opportunity to work with a global tech leader in a structured, international R&D setting Technical exposure to scalable systems, distributed architecture, and secure platforms Stable office-based role (equipment must remain in office; no remote work allowed) Valuable experience for junior developers aiming to grow in enterprise-level systems To apply: Please submit your CV in English.
