Accountant

Responsibilities of the Accountant: Ensure the integrity of the general ledger and manage month-end and year-end closing processes in compliance with IFRS standards; Prepare timely and accurate monthly and annual financial statements in close collaboration with operational teams; Ensure compliance with IFRS, Belgian GAAP and internal control standards; Coordinate statutory reporting and collaborate on tax filings with the tax team; Connect with the business to ensure accounting reflects operational reality, including implications of new contracts or restructurings; Act as a subject matter expert in the review, optimization, and digitalization of accounting processes; Support and contribute to end-to-end improvement and transformation projects. The profile of the ideal Accountant: Holds a bachelor's or master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics; Has at least 5 years of experience in a similar accounting role with strong technical knowledge; Solid knowledge of Belgian GAAP is required; familiarity with French GAAP is a strong asset; Fluent in English; knowledge of Dutch and/or French is a plus; Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, detail-oriented, and process improvement-minded; Positive, enthusiastic, and able to perform well under pressure; Curious, proactive, and capable of working collaboratively across departments in a multicultural setting.
