Trainee Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established and growing manufacturing business based in Knowsley, for a Trainee Multi-Skilled Engineer with an electrical bias. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual looking to build a long-term engineering career in a fast-paced production environment. The Role: As a Trainee Multi-Skilled Engineer, you will work alongside experienced engineers to gain hands-on experience in both electrical and mechanical maintenance. You will be trained to diagnose faults, carry out repairs, and contribute to continuous improvement across the site. Key Responsibilities: Support with planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdowns Assist in fault finding and root cause analysis Learn to repair and maintain production machinery and equipment Follow health and safety procedures at all times Work effectively as part of the engineering team across all rotating shifts Requirements: HNC or HND in Electrical Engineering (or a closely related discipline) Electrical qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) Some relevant work experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or engineering environment A genuine interest in engineering and maintenance Strong willingness to learn and develop Flexible to work a rotating shift pattern Shifts: Earlies: Monday to Friday Afternoons: Monday to Friday Nights: Monday to Friday Salary & Benefits: £40,000 per annum Ongoing training and development Opportunity for long-term progression Stable full-time permanent role If you meet the criteria and are ready to take the next step in your engineering career, wed like to hear from you.
