Principal AI Consultant – Contract - Hybrid (London) 6 Months Location: London (3 days per week onsite) Duration: Initial 6 months Contract Type: Contract Rate: Up to £600 per day Start: ASAP Our client is looking for a Principal AI Consultant to lead a strategic AI enablement programme across our 15-person engineering team. This is a high-impact, hands-on role for someone with a proven track record of embedding AI-first approaches in real-world product and engineering environments. What You’ll Do: Coach, mentor, and upskill engineering teams on practical AI tools and workflows Drive feasibility and delivery of AI-led product features (30%) Be the internal champion for AI – trusted advisor, educator, enabler Collaborate directly with engineering leadership and SLT What we need from you: Proven experience guiding businesses through AI adoption Strong software development background (Ideally in Microsoft technologies) Familiarity with GitHub Copilot, OpenAI, Azure/M365, and LLMs Exceptional communication and coaching skills A consultative, pragmatic, and inspiring presence
