Head of Construction Weymouth, Dorset – Hybrid | £78,000–£85,000 Bonus Benefits A growing UK-based engineering organisation is seeking an experienced Head of Construction to lead a portfolio of UK and international projects. This is a senior leadership role focused on programme delivery, operational strategy, and team development. You will take full ownership of project execution, resourcing, stakeholder management, and risk mitigation across a range of complex construction environments. The position plays a central part in shaping the organisation’s future capability and commercial growth. What You’ll Be Doing Managing delivery of live construction projects under NEC4 ECC Overseeing budget, risk, resources, quality, and compliance across multiple sites Leading construction teams operating in overseas and austere environments Acting as senior point of contact for client, subcontractor, and stakeholder engagement Driving business development efforts and supporting bid submissions Reporting into the senior leadership team and shaping strategic planning What You’ll Bring Proven experience in senior construction roles (Head of/Director level) In-depth understanding and application of NEC4 ECC contracts Background in international project delivery Strong track record of preparing tenders and cost estimates Confident use of CEMAR, I-Auditor or similar QA platforms Excellent leadership, commercial acumen, and stakeholder communication Degree or NVQ Level 7 in Construction Management or a CIOB-accredited qualification NEC4 Contract Accreditation Desirable Experience CIOB-accredited qualification Defence sector or high-security infrastructure background Due to the nature of work at our client’s site, these vacancies are only open to British Citizens who hold SC clearance or can obtain it.
