Project Manager - Derivatives

My client, a well known investment bank is looking for an experienced interim Project Manager who has front office banking experience, with a strong grasp of the derivatives space. Job Summary: The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing a range of derivative-related projects, demonstrating exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage end-to-end project delivery for derivative-related initiatives. Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, resource allocation, and risk management. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including trading, risk management, compliance, and IT, to ensure project objectives are met. Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as needed. Ensure all projects comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies. Prepare and present project status reports to senior management and stakeholders. Foster a collaborative and high-performance project team environment. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant professional certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is a plus. Minimum of 7 years of project management experience within the banking sector, with a focus on derivatives. In-depth knowledge of derivative products, including options, futures, swaps, and structured products. Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and risk management practices in the derivatives market. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results within tight deadlines. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
