Product Manager - Fresh Produce Location: South Essex Type: Full Time, On-site Work Environment: Packhouse / warehouse-based We’re supporting a leading UK fresh produce business in their search for a Product Manager to join their operational site in South Essex. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with hands-on experience in product or quality management within a fresh produce manufacturing or packhouse environment. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring customer satisfaction, managing product integrity, and maintaining high internal standards across quality and stock performance. The Role: You’ll be responsible for the full product lifecycle – from managing daily stock allocations to verifying quality reports and addressing customer feedback. You’ll collaborate closely with planning, technical, and quality teams to ensure the smooth and compliant flow of product through the business. Key Responsibilities: Manage and maintain stock levels for customer orders Produce daily usage and stock allocation reports Conduct and oversee product re-inspections Verify and publish quality control reports and actions Investigate customer rejections and update internal systems accordingly Maintain communication with customer product and technical contacts Provide weekly product performance updates Maintain internal service level and complaints dashboards Candidate Profile: Proven experience in product or quality management within a fresh produce, food manufacturing, or packhouse setting Strong understanding of stock allocation, product lifecycle, and quality standards Comfortable working in a cold, time-sensitive, operational environment Strong communicator with the ability to work cross-functionally Flexible and hands-on, especially during peak trading periods DE&I At Elliott Charles International Selection, diversity, equity, and inclusion are fundamental to our identity.
