Job Description

Hydrographic Surveyor- Permanent - Kent, UK - £ Excellent package Reporting to the Survey Manager, the company is seeking an experienced hydrographic surveyor to join its Hydrographic department. Responsibilities will include (but not exhaustive to); Conduct Safety of Navigation surveys and provide dredging support Produce nautical charting products for port users and stakeholders. Deliver commercial hydrographic services, including: Geophysical surveys Geotechnical investigations Marine infrastructure inspection Construction survey support Work on a diverse range of projects, from major infrastructure developments to smaller support and development tasks. The successful candidate should hold a degree in hydrographic surveying or a related science or engineering discipline, with experience in inshore or offshore surveying. A solid understanding of hydrographic systems, charting standards, and ideally some exposure to geophysical or geotechnical surveys is expected. Ideally, you will have the relevant marine certifications to work afloat such as RYA Powerboat 1 or 2, STCW Sea Survival, First Aid etc. Applicants must be self-motivated, capable of working independently under pressure, and flexible to meet operational demands, including paid overtime when required.
