Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Senior NPD Technologist based at our Ruskington site, working a 5 day onsite working model. The successful candidate Works with a Site NPD manager, Chef and NPD technologist to manage & deliver NPD & Innovation projects up to point of handover to process (NPI). Responsibilities: Takes ownership of their products through to launch & beyond: Works with process & production teams to support successful trial approval & launch. Works with the commercial team to monitor commercial success of NPD launches This role will deliver key parts of the NPD process including: - Innovation & idea generation - winning new business/growing existing Workload planning and critical path management - Ingredient sourcing - Kitchen work - Costings - Nutritional - Packaging development (with purchasing team) Working with process team to deliver launches Manages own workload to deliver above and strives for high quality and accuracy of data. This role has regular contact with the retailer and is able lead small projects directly or work as part of a larger team on medium/large projects. Skills and Knowledge: Leads NPD projects in conjunction with the site Product Development Manager to ensure that all NPD is seamlessly delivered. Builds a strong relationship with the PEU customer leads and retailers contacts for their retail accounts. Plays a lead role in NPD projects from concept to handover. Works with the process team and other key business teams supporting delivery of NPD from handover to launch. Owns the PEU stage gate procedure for their projects and support their direct team with their projects. Working knowledge & familiar with Recipe Professor/P74 recipe management tool software. Generates accurate information for costings and drives this through the business and are aware of commercial expectations for all projects that they are involved in. Generates & takes sole ownership for critical paths for their projects. Ensuring plans are deliverable and key stakeholders are consulted. Ability to manage multiple projects with time sensitive deadlines while communicating effectively on the project status to all stakeholders, both internal & external of our business. Passionate about food with a knowledge of culinary techniques, cuisines and food trends
