Cost Accountant

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Cost Accountant in the finance department of a leading manufacturing business based in Ottery, Cape Town. This role is ideal for a dynamic individual looking to be part of a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment with a strong focus on operational excellence, innovation, and customer delight. The main purpose of this role is: To implement, manage, and continuously improve the costing function within the business, ensuring accurate cost reporting, strong inventory control, and insightful financial analysis to support decision-making and profitability. We require a candidate with: A completed CIMA qualification At least 2 years experience in a financial or cost accounting role Experience in a manufacturing environment (essential) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Meticulous attention to detail and excellent organisational ability Experience with import/export costing and landed cost calculations Familiarity with standard costing and job costing Excellent verbal and written communication and teamwork skills Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure in a high-paced environment Ability to drive projects and process improvements as a team player Syspro proficiency (essential) Experience in implementing a costing system or framework Should you meet the requirements for this position, please email your CV to finance.vacancy@stand-outstaffing.co.za .
