They are responsible for overseeing junior engineers, coordinating with other teams, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. This role often requires strong leadership, technical expertise in electrical systems, and experience in design, construction, and project management. Key Responsibilities: Team Leadership: Leading and mentoring a team of electrical engineers and designers, providing guidance and direction on technical matters. · Design Management: Overseeing the electrical design process from concept to completion, ensuring designs are accurate, efficient, and compliant with relevant standards and regulations. · Project Coordination: Collaborating with other teams (e.g., architects, mechanical engineers, construction teams) to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems. · Technical Expertise: Applying in-depth knowledge of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, control systems, and safety regulations. · Cost and Time Management: Developing and managing project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure projects are completed within established constraints. · Quality Assurance: Ensuring the quality and accuracy of electrical designs, conducting design reviews, and implementing quality control measures. Essential Skills and Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. · Experience: Significant experience in electrical design, ideally within a consulting engineering or design-build environment. · Technical Skills: Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit), knowledge of relevant codes and standards (e.g., IEC, NEC), and experience with power systems, lighting design, and control systems. · Leadership and Management: Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, manage projects, and communicate effectively with stakeholders. · Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address technical challenges and ensure project success. · Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to present technical information to various audiences.
