As a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) in the Managed Services Platform, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy through execution and beyond. PwC Professional skills and responsibilities for this level include but are not limited to: Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and automated test scripts for software applications. Develop and maintain automation frameworks using Node.js , Java , and testing tools like Cucumber , JUnit , Selenium , Serenity BDD , Maven , and RestAssured . Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements, technical specifications, and deliver high-quality solutions. Utilize platforms and tools such as Azure DevOps , Mulesoft , Salesforce , AWS , GitHub , Lucidchart , Postman , Visual Studio Code , Azure Data Studio , and Microsoft SQL Server throughout the testing lifecycle. Identify, report, and track software defects, working closely with developers to ensure timely resolution. Participate in code reviews, providing feedback to improve code quality, functionality, and testability. Continuously enhance and optimize testing strategies, processes, and methodologies to drive efficiency and quality improvements. Demonstrate excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills to support critical project deliverables. Exhibit strong communication and teamwork abilities, effectively collaborating within Agile or cross-functional environments. Minimum Degree Required : Bachelors in Computer Engineering Degree Preferred : N/A Minimum Years of Experience : 5 year(s) of IT experience Certifications Required : NA Certifications Preferred : Azure/AWS certification Oracle Certified Professional: Java SE Programmer Node.js Certified Developer (OpenJS Foundation) Required Knowledge/Skills : NA Preferred Knowledge/Skills : Demonstrates extensive knowledge and/or a proven record of success in the following areas: At least 3 years of Testing Automation experience using tools like TOSCA, WorkSoft, UiPath ,Selenium, Microfocus UFT, Appium, Perfecto Automation framework development experience using JAVA and Selenium Automation Programming skills (e.g. Java, JavaScript, Python) Experience in implementing test driven (TDD) and behavior driven development (BDD). Experience with Testing Planning and Test Execution Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps). Knowledge of containerization tools ( Docker, Kubernetes ) and cloud platforms ( AWS, Azure, GCP ) is a plus. Experience with Lean/Agile development methodologies Experience with API testing tools like Postman, RestAssured, or Karate . Strong experience on Service layer testing to support Agile/Scrum development, DevOps, and CI/CD
