Sr Planner

Our Volex de México - Tijuana Site Leading company in the region since September 1993, dedicated to manufacturing, assembly, construction, design, marketing, import, export and everything related to electronic circuits, electrical conduction cables, parts or components electrical appliances or computers, medical diagnostic equipment or other applications. Based on the growth plans, it is being incorporated to produce harnesses and connectors with application in the automotive sector, which represents a great opportunity for success for the plant and all of us who make up the Volex team. The ideal candidate for Sr Planner Includes but not limited to: Core Areas: Analyzes various sources of demand (forecasts, firm orders, etc.) and also attends meetings with Production, Quality, Materials, Engineering, and Marketing to develop feasible production plans. Reviews customer requirements, negotiates potential end-of-life activities, and includes them in WPS planning. Uses CRP (Capacity Resource Planning) techniques to increase, decrease, or maintain plant capacity and manages MPS/MRP parameters for planning. • May be involved in material requirements planning. Controls finished product inventory. May work with customer service to coordinate on-time delivery. Maintains standard operating procedures for the materials and production control functions. Participates and advises on planning activities, forecast management, surplus and obsolete inventory levels, and inventory levels with other Volex plants. Verifies and finalizes the staffing levels for each VS weekly, communicating the final distribution among interdepartmental teams. Leads sales and operations management meetings, reviewing sales projections and demand vs. capacity analysis, inventory levels, inventory turns, and actions derived from these meetings. Communicates the number of resources required to the Human Resources department, as well as the 12-month projection. Works with the Demand Planning Analyst to make decisions regarding variations of /- 15% in demand and the purchasing supervisor. Maintains updated planning parameters for assigned raw material part numbers. • Verifies that the assigned raw material part numbers support the production plan. Communicate any issues identified in the materials plan to the Operations Manager so that appropriate action can be taken. Participates in the introduction of new products. Participates in the internal audit plan. Prepares the feasible master production plan based on Marketing needs, maintaining an optimal level of finished product inventory to ensure the level of service the customer requires. Qualifications and Experience Bachelor's degree or related field experience (Manufacturing environment) 2 Years as Planner Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel) English level fluency bilingual is required.
