We’re expanding, and we’re looking for a Design Manager to join our Mission Critical Facilities (MCF) team in Málaga, Spain. As our new Design Manager you will become part of our Global Mission Critical Facilities (MCF) team. Our global MCF team provides multidisciplinary consultancy services to datacenter clients, including colocation data centres, internet service providers, and telecom companies. The team is diverse, with expertise in areas like electrical and mechanical engineering, construction, architecture, fire safety, control engineering, and security technology. Together, this knowledge is used to develop integrated designs for Data Centres. You will be part of a dedicated, passionate team that is globally recognized as one of the best in Data Centre design and engineering. Your role As a Design Manager , your main responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Manage scope-of-work, design budget and contract documents for each project; Follow and update design delivery schedule and distribute workload within team; Coordinate and optimize design with multi-disciplinary team and external parties; Lead and challenge design solutions and changes; Create and communicate innovative ideas and designs to client and team. What you bring Holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or equivalent Has over 5 years of experience managing multidisciplinary design, engineering, and construction projects, preferably in data centres or other relevant sectors; Shows an affinity with digital and automated design and engineering processes (BIM360, CDE); Possesses good knowledge of standard practices in the design and construction industry, and a good understanding of the daily (operational) business of clients; Demonstrates excellent communication skills towards colleagues and clients, and is fluent in English (and preferably German).
