Senior CAD Designer - Catia V5 (Automotive)

What We Are Looking For: Education & Experience Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent (Bachelor’s or FP/HNC/HND recognized with relevant experience). Minimum 4 years of CAD design experience in the automotive industry, preferably with plastic injection or stamped metal components Software Skills & Technical Expertise Expert use of CATIA V5 : 3D modeling, surfacing (MDS/HD2), assemblies, tolerance application (GD&T), and 2D drawings Proven experience with PLM/PDM systems , including PDM Sheets, BOMs, variant and revision control (Stammbau-M) Manufacturing & Quality Knowledge Strong understanding of automotive manufacturing processes: injection molding, stamping, CNC, assembly—all aligned with OEM tolerances. Familiarity with industry standards such as PPAP, APQP, IATF 16949 , and experience with industrialization quality control Validation & Prototyping Skilled in preparing cubings and prototypes, managing validation trials, interpreting results and tracking corrective actions during industrialization. Communication & Languages Strong interpersonal and documentation skills: conducting meetings, tracking open actions (LOPS), managing modifications (AKO), and preparing technical presentations. Fluency in Spanish and professional English for technical and project communication. ✅ Key Responsibilities Drive internal coordination , schedule meetings, set agendas, track action items and report progress. Maintain technical documentation : update 3D/2D models, manage homologations and variant control, and oversee BOM updates (Stammbau‑M). Support prototype and testing phases : participate in assembly, validation testing, analyze trial outcomes, resolve issues, and implement corrective actions. Soft Skills: Organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams and with customers. Excellent verbal and written communication.
