Job Description
Electrical Project Manager MEP Contracting / Building Services Oxfo rdshire A leading global construction and consultancy firm—renowned for delivering some of the most complex and high-profile projects across sectors such as healthcare, life sciences, infrastructure, and commercial—is currently seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager . This position is to lead the electrical package on a large-scale Research and Testing Facility based in Oxfordshire , currently in the pre-construction phase and due for completion by mid-2027 . Key Responsibilities: Lead delivery of the electrical scope, working closely with internal teams and coordinating with other disciplines and subcontractors. Manage electrical subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of services and installations. Oversee all electrical interfaces across packages and workstreams, ensuring technical alignment and compliance with project specifications. Build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders including the client, design teams, and site teams. Identify risks within the electrical scope and implement mitigation strategies to ensure safe and efficient delivery. Support the project’s sustainability and carbon reduction objectives through active management of energy use, materials, and methodologies. Package & Benefits: Basic salary: £90,000 - £95,000 £7,000 car allowance 27 days annual leave bank holidays Private healthcare Generous pension scheme Requirements: Strong electrical engineering background, with a thorough understanding of electrical installation techniques, commissioning processes, and systems integration. Proven ability to manage electrical systems through design, installation, and commissioning phases. Experience managing complex electrical packages on major building services projects. Proficiency in construction planning, scheduling, and delivering work packages from pre-con through to completion. Sound knowledge of health and safety practices including electrical safety, working at height, fire safety, and site logistics. Strong understanding of quality assurance and commissioning protocols, including cause & effect testing, BMS integration, and IST processes.
