Design And Development Engineer

This role is ideal for a design-focused, innovative engineer who thrives in fast-paced environments and wants to drive product innovation using new materials, processes, and technologies. You’ll join a high-impact team aligned to one of three core product value streams, supporting agile design, NPD, and commercial responsiveness. Key Responsibilities Lead or support NPD projects from concept to launch Research and integrate new materials and manufacturing processes Translate customer requirements into practical, cost-effective solutions Produce detailed design documentation and test protocols Collaborate with sales, manufacturing, and external stakeholders Conduct testing, analyse data, and iterate on performance Support product industrialisation and continuous improvement initiatives Contribute to ISO9001 processes and R&D sessions About You Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or related field 5 years in product development, ideally with experience in new materials Strong CAD/design skills and understanding of engineering drawings and testing Aerospace experience or regulatory knowledge is a plus Excellent communicator, highly organised, commercially aware This is a hands-on, cross-functional role where your ideas will shape the future of innovative, market-leading products.
