Satellite System Engineer

Job Title: Satellite Systems Engineer Location: Stevenage, UK (Possibility of Hybrid) Duration: 12 Months Contract - Possibility of extension Job Profile: Interpret electrical and functional test requirements from specifications. Develop, debug, and execute test sequences/procedures for spacecraft systems using CCS, Elisa, and Java-based tools. Provide first-line support during spacecraft tests and investigate anomalies. Participate in test reviews and prepare reports. Participate in the Launch Test Campaigns. Support functional, performance, and environmental tests (TVAC, Magnetic, EMC). Skills & Experience: Experience writing and debugging test scripts/sequences for spacecraft tests, preferably with Elisa and Java. Knowledge of spacecraft systems (Data Handling, Communications, Attitude Control, Power, Thermal, FDIR). Familiarity with TMTC databases and Linux/Unix scripting (bash); programming skills (C, Java, Python, TCL) are a plus. Competent with electrical test equipment (DMM, oscilloscope, data bus monitors). Understanding of system testing, verification, and cleanroom protocols. Willingness to work flexible hours/shifts. Electrical integration experience is a plus but not essential.
