Senior Platform Engineer

Senior Platform Engineer London / Manchester / Leeds (Hybrid) Up to £72,000 – Permanent Work on mission-critical platforms that support UK National Security. We’re partnered with a growing technology consultancy delivering high-impact solutions across National Security & Government. Their cross-functional teams work at the heart of UK security projects, using modern engineering approaches to solve real-world problems. As they continue to expand, they’re looking for experienced Senior Platform Engineers to join their agile teams in London, Manchester or Leeds. What you’ll be doing: Designing and developing secure, scalable platforms using modern languages (e.g. Python, Java, JavaScript or .Net) Collaborating in agile squads to deliver PoCs and production-ready systems Owning code quality using tools like Git, SonarQube, and automated testing frameworks Driving automation and continuous delivery with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Bamboo or Bitbucket Working with a mix of cloud-native and containerised solutions What you’ll bring: Strong programming experience in at least one modern language Hands-on with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems Agile mindset and experience working in Scrum, Lean or Kanban teams Creative problem-solving and a strong understanding of software design patterns UK Security Clearance eligibility (British or dual British citizen only) Nice to have (or develop with us): Cloud experience (AWS, Azure) Containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes) ML tools (TensorFlow, Amazon ML, Azure ML) Infrastructure automation (Ansible, Terraform) Graph, document or relational database systems The Package: Salary up to £72,000 Flexible hybrid working (3 days onsite in London, Manchester or Leeds) Private medical, life assurance & enhanced pension Career development in a high-trust, high-impact environment A supportive culture that values diversity and collaboration To hear more about the role, get in touch with Brad Collings.
