Senior Design Manager

I'm currently recruiting for a Senior Design Manager role with a key contractor in the Medway Area. Please see below bit about the Contractor: My client is with a well-established main contractor delivering a diverse range of projects across London and the Southeast, from complex Cut & Carves and high-spec fit-outs to new-build schemes. My clients project values range from £1M to £120M , across both public and private sector. With a proven track record of successful delivery and longstanding client relationships, they are now seeking an experienced Senior Design Manager to join the team. This is a strategic role with a clear path to Principal Design Manager and beyond. Job Responsibilities: Lead the design process across multiple projects from pre-construction to completion Coordinate with internal teams, external consultants, and key stakeholders to ensure timely and compliant design deliverables Provide technical guidance during design development and construction stages Review design risk, buildability, and value engineering opportunities Chair design team meetings and manage design deliverables within programme and budget Liaise with planning, procurement, and delivery teams to align design and construction strategies Champion best practices in design management and contribute to process improvement This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven design professional looking to step into a senior leadership pathway with a contractor that truly values its people.
