Business Unit Leader – Asset Management and Infrastructure

Goldstone Associates is proud to partner with TRL – one of the UK’s most respected transport research and innovation organisations – to appoint a Director of Asset Management. This is a senior leadership opportunity to run and grow a ~£6m business that delivers cutting-edge asset management solutions to clients across the UK and internationally. The role sits on TRL’s executive team and combines strategic, commercial and operational leadership of a 30–50-strong team working across research, consultancy, and technical services. We’re looking for a proven leader with credibility in infrastructure, transport or asset-heavy sectors. You’ll bring commercial acumen, client gravitas, and a collaborative, low-ego leadership style. This is your chance to shape TRL’s Asset Management business, influence national infrastructure strategies, and lead innovation with real-world impact. You’ll work with clients such as National Highways and UK local authorities, lead high-value engagements, and play a key role in TRL’s growth and innovation agenda.
