Legal Counsel

Position: Legal Counsel Salary guide: £60,000 – £75,000 per annum, plus bonus and excellent benefits Location: Hertfordshire, Hybrid – around two days a week office based An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and commercially minded Legal Counsel to join a highly respected and collaborative in-house legal team. This is a rare chance to gain broad exposure to a range of complex legal matters across the UK and international. The opportunity: You'll provide commercially focused legal advice across the business, ensuring projects run with minimal legal risk whilst handing a broad range of commercial agreements. Responsibilities will include: Advising on a broad range of legal matters including commercial contracts (sales, procurement, R&D, IT, manufacturing, supply and partnerships) plus some potential support across IP and compliance Supporting departments with pragmatic, risk-based legal advice Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide array of commercial agreements Supporting with company secretarial tasks, such as board minutes and resolutions Monitoring legal developments and advising on potential business impacts Candidate profile: UK Qualified Solicitor around with 1 – 5 years’ PQE Solid training and experience gained in a private practice law firm is essential In-house legal experience is advantageous, but not essential Strong background reviewing, drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, You will be analytical with excellent communication skills and stakeholder managements, Comfortable working as an In-House legal generalist and keen to develop across a range of legal disciplines Collaborative, proactive and solutions-focused mindset Interested in applying?
