Role: Design Engineer Role Type: Permanent Location: Glasgow A leading global engineering business is seeking an experienced Design Engineer to join its specialist equipment team based in Glasgow. The company works on a wide range of complex engineering projects, supporting the development, improvement, and maintenance of rotating equipment and systems used in sectors like energy, water, and industrial processing. This is a full-time hybrid role, offering a mix of office/site and remote work, and the chance to work on technically varied and meaningful engineering challenges. Skills & Experience Required Design rotating equipment and support structures such as skids and base plates Assist with testing on-site Support site investigations and maintenance-related engineering queries Create 3D CAD models, drawings, and technical documentation (SolidWorks) Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve real-world engineering problems Mechanical Engineering qualification (HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent) Understanding of design for manufacture A proactive, problem-solving mindset and collaborative attitude Comfortable working on a variety of engineering tasks and challenges If you would like to apply for this position or would like more information, please send an up to date CV for an immediate consultation.
