Analytical Engineer

Vacancy: Senior Analytics Engineer Tech: Azure | Python | SQL | PowerBI | dbt | Data modelling | ETL/ELT For a giant in financial products, such as insurance, pensions, and mortgages, we are seeking highly experienced Analytics Engineers. This leading company, which has acquired one of its biggest competitors, is in the midst of a massive migration. In the centralized digital and IT team, you will, together with your team, be the bridge between multiple business teams and the data engineering team. To do so, you will oversee the development of a new data environment in the Azure stack while building robust data transformation pipelines and analytics solutions. We are looking for someone with: At least four years of experience as an analytics engineer or similar role (data analyst, data engineer); Strong experience with Python and SQL (building databases and transformation pipelines); Hands-on experience with data transformation tools (dbt preferred); Experience with ETL/ELT processes and data pipeline orchestration; Excellent communication skills and ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions; Experience with data modeling and dimensional modeling concepts. It's a big plus if you already have experience with Azure Cloud services (Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse). Responsibilities: Design and implement data transformation pipelines using modern analytics engineering practices; Build and maintain data models that serve both operational and analytical use cases; Gathering and analyzing data to advise colleagues and support business decision-making; Developing of a new data environment to promote a data-driven approach; Collaborate with data engineers to ensure reliable data ingestion and with analysts to deliver actionable insights; Implement data quality checks and monitoring to ensure data reliability. Create and maintain documentation for data models and transformation logic; Proactively looking for improvements for the data environment and analytics processes.
