Job Title: CNC Machinist (Turner) – Fanuc Location: Ayrshire, UK Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent Hourly Rate: From £19.26 30% Backshift Allowance Bonus Scheme A well-established precision engineering company serving the Oil & Gas sector is seeking an experienced CNC Turner to join its growing team. This business is known for producing high-integrity components and offers a clean, well-organised workshop environment with a strong team culture. Key Responsibilities: Program, set, and operate CNC lathes using Fanuc controls Machine small batches of precision components to tolerances of 0.025mm or better Work with a variety of materials including steel, stainless steel, Duplex, and high-temp alloys Interpret engineering drawings and perform in-process inspections Collaborate with production and engineering teams to maintain quality and workflow Conduct basic machine maintenance and contribute to continuous improvement efforts Candidate Requirements: Minimum 3 years of experience as a CNC Turner Confident in programming, setting, and operating Fanuc-controlled lathes Skilled in working to tight tolerances and handling exotic materials Background in Oil & Gas or similar high-integrity sectors is an advantage Strong focus on quality and accuracy What’s Offered: Hourly pay from £19.26 (negotiable based on experience) 30% backshift allowance Quarterly bonus scheme (recently paid over £750 per person) 39-hour week on a 2-week rotating shift schedule 30 days holiday including Christmas shutdown Pension: 4% employer / 4% employee contribution Supportive and clean working environment
