Facilities Manager

Job Title: Facilities Manager Location: Corsham Salary: £55,000 - £70,000 car / car allowance Overview: We are seeking an experienced and driven Facilities Manager to lead the facilities operations at and MoD site in Corsham. This is a key role for a dynamic professional with a background in FM project delivery or operational management, and strong leadership skills in managing both people and processes. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the day-to-day facilities management operations, ensuring high performance and compliance with all contractual and regulatory requirements. Manage and monitor the performance of sub-contractors, ensuring consistent delivery in line with CPI, KPI, and PI frameworks. Control operational costs and budgets, ensuring financial targets are met and variances addressed promptly. Play a central role in audit processes, reporting, and management information, including operational finance and performance tracking. Engage with and manage stakeholder relationships at all levels, including internal teams and external partners. Lead multi-disciplinary teams, promoting collaboration and accountability across all FM service lines. Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and standards, including CDM regulations. Support and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the site. Essential Requirements: Proven background in facilities management, with demonstrable experience in either project management or operational delivery. Strong people management experience, particularly in leading subcontractor teams and driving service quality. Sound knowledge of financial reporting and cost control in an FM environment. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent Health & Safety certification. Working knowledge of CDM Regulations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and IT systems relevant to FM operations. Minimum of City & Guilds Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services, or Air Conditioning/Refrigeration. Desirable: Previous experience working on secure or defence-related sites. Experience working within a highly regulated and audited environment.
