Job Description
JOB PURPOSE: We are looking for an experienced, hands-on, and qualified Group Controller to lead our European financial control and consolidation function. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely group reporting, enforcing strong financial controls, and leading a geographically distributed finance team through a critical phase of scaling and integration. As a spin-off from a multinational corporation, Enfinitec operates with the ambition and speed of a scale-up — while maintaining the rigor and compliance standards of a corporate. This makes the role ideal for a Group Controller who can lead under pressure, foster cross-country collaboration, and build processes that scale. RA or CPA certification and a background in Big 4 audit are mandatory. Report to: Enfinitec Finance Director Country: The Netherlands Department: Finance – Enfinitec HQ Levels of accountabilities & authorities: Direct report of Finance Director/CFO Supervision, Co-ordination, Advice, Influence Received from: Enfinitec Finance Director Exercised with: Enfinitec local Finance Teams (10 FTEs) External Auditors and Advisors KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead Group Consolidation & Reporting: Manage timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings across 7 European legal entities. Ensure compliance with IFRS and internal control requirements. Financial Leadership: Lead and develop a high-performing international finance team of 20 FTEs, including 4–5 direct reports. Provide structure, direction, and mentorship. Bridge Group & Local Finance: Build strong relationships with local finance teams. Align group standards with local practices, ensuring clarity, consistency, and compliance across the board. Audit & Compliance: Act as the main point of contact for auditors. Manage end-to-end audit preparation, execution, and issue resolution across countries. Internal Controls & Risk Management: Strengthen and standardize internal controls, implement financial governance structures, and ensure ongoing audit readiness. Process & Tool Improvement: Lead finance process optimizations and support implementation of group-wide systems (ERP, consolidation tools, BI). Cash Flow & Working Capital Oversight: Manage group-level working capital monitoring, intercompany reconciliations, and cash flow forecasting. Travel & Stakeholder Management: Willing to travel to European sites to maintain close contact with local finance leads and build strong cross-country collaboration. Work Under Pressure: Maintain high quality, accuracy, and completeness of financial data while operating under strict deadlines. INTERFACE (CUSTOMERS AND SUPPLIERS): Internal: Enfinitec Finance Director Enfinitec Local Finance Leads Enfinitec Management Team Enfinitec Business Functions External: Auditors External advisors Banks ERP/System consultants PERSON’S REQUIREMENTS FOR THE JOB: Education: Master’s degree in finance, Accounting, or Economics. RA (Registeraccountant) or CPA certification is required. Experience: Mandatory Big 4 audit background. 5–8 years of experience in financial control, group consolidation, or audit leadership roles. Proven experience in a multinational or pan-European structure. Previous exposure to IFRS and complex group structures. Experience leading multi-country teams and finance transformation projects is highly desirable.
