Job Summary : We are seeking a highly analytical and versatile System Administrator with expertise in Linux (Ubuntu/Debian and Red Hat) and experience with Windows Server (optional) environments. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting complex systems with minimal prior information. You will also support physical datacenter operations when needed and play an integral role in our mission to automate end-to-end service deployments via orchestration systems. Key Responsibilities : System Maintenance & Troubleshooting : Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues across multi-platform environments using analytical and creative problem-solving skills. Provide hands-on support for both virtual (KVM, Virtuozzo VHI/VAP) and physical systems, including hardware troubleshooting. Technical Expertise & Automation : Manage Linux systems (Ubuntu/Debian and Red Hat) and Windows Server (optional) environments. Develop and maintain scripts using Bash and Python to automate routine tasks and integrate with APIs (REST and others). Assist in the deployment and maintenance of containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform (optional). Utilize configuration management tools such as Ansible to streamline system deployments. Support our automation initiatives by contributing to orchestration systems for automated service deployments triggered by incoming orders. Documentation & Reporting: Proactively create and maintain comprehensive documentation—including configuration data, workflows, change requests, and incident reports—to ensure transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement across our operations. Monitoring & Security : Implement and maintain monitoring solutions using Zabbix, Cacti, and optionally Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) to ensure optimal system performance and rapid issue detection. Adhere to security best practices and assist with security initiatives across all systems. Network & Infrastructure Support: Demonstrate proficiency in layer 2 networking and (optionally) software-defined storage solutions. Assist with the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of open source environments such as basic and advanced LAMP stacks. Physical Datacenter Operations: In addition to the above, actively assist with physical datacenter operations including racking, cabling, and servicing servers and network equipment to maintain and optimize our infrastructure. Collaboration & Communication: Work effectively with both on-site teams and remote team members (including supervision of remote personnel across different countries). Maintain excellent in-person and remote communication skills, ensuring clear, concise, and timely updates. Operate within ticketing systems like Freshdesk/Freshservice, Microsoft Teams and Slack to manage and resolve support requests and internal communication. Candidates must be proficient in using Jira for issue tracking and project management, ensuring effective collaboration with both remote and on-site teams and maintaining clear task documentation throughout the deployment lifecycle. Qualifications: Professional experience between atleast 5-7 years with proven expertise in Linux (Ubuntu/Debian and Red Hat) and (optionally) Windows Server administration. Strong coding skills in Bash and Python (pre) Demonstrated experience working with APIs and integrating automation tools. Prior experience with virtualization technologies (KVM, Virtuozzo), networking fundamentals (layer 2), and network storage. Excellent analytical skills with a proven track record of troubleshooting complex issues from limited information. Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and infrastructure as code (Terraform) is a plus. Familiarity with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack) and configuration management (Ansible). Excellent English communication skills. Experience with ticketing systems (Freshdesk/Freshservice) and working in hosting/cloud environments. Prior involvement in supervising remote team members and managing both technical and operational responsibilities. Openess to work onsite 5 days a week as this is fully a work from office position Additional Requirements: Must possess a valid driver’s license (car) for occasional on-site datacenter support. Demonstrate a willingness to follow operational directives—collaboratively contributing to the team. Growth Mindset: We foster a culture that encourages learning through mistakes. Experience with hosting/cloud environments (webservers, MySQL/PostgreSQL databases, DNS servers, control panels such as cPanel, Plesk, or Directadmin) is highly desirable. Knowledge of WHMCS is a significant advantage.
