Job Summary Creates, monitors and submits all applicable Commercial insurance regulatory filings including forms, rates, and rules according to individual state department(s) of insurance regulations and timelines. Serves as a subject matter expert for the filing process and regularly conducts research to resolve discrepancies. Provides support for projects and research related to rate, rule, and form historical filings and documentation. Perform other functions as assigned. Key Responsibilities Collaborates with business partners to provide guidance, prepare, manage and submit rates, forms and rules filings specifically pertaining to Commercial business. Ensures adherence to State DOI rules, regulations, and timelines. Assists with the composition, assembly, and submission of filing documents. Draft filing related materials to include checklists and certifications. Communicates and partners with other functional departments, State DOI and Legal to monitor filing progress, and obtain necessary approvals for filing submission and final filing. Makes proper judgment around filing preparation and responds appropriately to objections. Serves as subject matter expert for internal and external Commercial filing process. Partners closely with Product and Actuarial departments when filings are questioned, challenged, or otherwise not promptly approved as submitted. Coordinates responsibility and timely responses, collects supporting documentation for objections, and other paperwork required for filing correspondence. Reviews objection responses for accuracy and completion. Works closely with Product Managers relating to approvals, disapprovals, delays, or requests for information from the state DOI. Discovers process recoveries based on research and review of objections, manuals, and PCRs. Creates rate tables and completes peer reviews for accuracy and verifies final material and approvals before submission; Schedules and facilitates kickoff meetings. Maintains up-to-date knowledge of regulatory filing rules and guidelines. Retains correspondence with insurance departments necessary to obtain information, using proper judgment and discretion to determine filing strategy. Verifies and initiates the format of filing media to ensure compliance with state DOI regulations and requirements. Maintains computer-based log providing filing status and electronic storage of filing documents. Provides maintenance of regulatory filings, bulletins, assessments, and other regulatory matters. Updates and maintains applicable insurance manuals, filing guides, historic information relevant to products for filing, posting, and reference. Performs research based on state DOI inquiries. Researches files to provide documentation for insurance exams; Performs research when information discrepancies arise and discover resolution options. Coordinates assembly and submission of data calls. Updates all product manuals and guides for historical records. Communicates and follows up with Product Management teams to verify and confirm all updates. Validates manuals and guides are filed and posted timely to internal reference sites. Analyzes and provides historical filing manual and guide requested material. Requirements Minimum 1 - 3 years of experience in the field. Advanced or Fluent English. Update and maintain access records. Skills / Capabilities Strong Communication. Attention to details. Basic Insurance Knowledge. Work independently. Ownership. Software / Technical SERFF - Entry Level (1-3 Years). Excel - Advanced (7 Years). Office Suite - Entry Level (1-3 Years).
