Our client is looking for a dynamic detail-orientated and proactive Debtors Clerk with shipping experience to join their team. The company deals in a wide variety of frozen and fresh seafood products and prides itself in achieving the highest possible standards which covers prioritizing product and service excellence and building long-term relationships with customers and supplier base. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Proficiency in English and with excellent communication skills Planning, administration and organising skills Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices and collection regulations Invoicing, reconciling accounts and timely collection of outstanding payments Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records accurately Accurate data entry skills along with a knack for numbers Hands-on experience in operating spreadsheets and accounting software Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively, especially during peak periods MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Higher Grade Maths or Accounting Diploma Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office High accuracy with numbers and details A knowledge of shipping would be an advantage but not vital as training will be provided Good communication skills good command of English Cheerful, calm and a pleasant demeanor under pressure Resilient and self-motivated. A knowledge of Pastel or similar Non smoker Accessibility to Rondebosch Station Hours: 8.30am 5pm Monday to Friday Start Date: as soon as possible
