Cost Accountant

A leading manufacturer in the food production sector is seeking a Cost Accountant to manage, monitor, and report on costing processes across the production environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in cost analysis, variance reporting, and driving efficiencies in the costing systems, with a specific focus on Meat Matrix software. This role will suit a hands-on professional with a strong understanding of the meat production value chain, ready to contribute meaningfully to financial decision-making in a dynamic, high-volume environment. Job Experience & Skills Required: Minimum 35 years' experience in a Cost Accounting role within a manufacturing or food production environment. Proven working knowledge of Meat Matrix is essential. BCom Degree in Cost and Management Accounting, Finance, or equivalent qualification. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets. Proficient in Excel and ERP systems, with a focus on costing modules. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
