Senior Financial Accountant

Key requirement BCom degree in accounting, finance or related field Minimum 5 years in a senior accounting role Strong knowledge of South African tax legislation Proficiency in accounting software (Sage or similar) Advanced Excel skills Excellent analytical and problem solving abilities Strong attention to detail and accuracy Experience in similar industry (Chemical, supply chain management, Logistics) Management accounting experience Knowledge of VAT and corporate tax compliance Key responsibility Cost accounting and process engineering Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements Manage general ledger accounts and ensure accurate month-end closures Process accounts payable and receivable Conduct variance analysis Ensure compliance with local accounting standards Assist with budget preparation and forecasting Support internal and external audit processes Prepare management reports and financial analysis
