Manager: Payroll

REQUIREMENTS Affirmative action South African, willing to relocate to Makhanda Relevant Degree (NQF 7), ideally Finance/ Payroll Minimum 8 years' experience including: Payroll processing of a large employee base and multiple payrolls (monthly and weekly) Job costing functionality Submissions to SARS, including SARS online systems, and managing SARS verifications and audits Minimum 3 years' supervisory/ management experience of a payroll section Proficiency in Sage 300 and all MS applications, with advanced competence in Excel Knowledge of current legislation relating to PAYE, UIF, LRA, BCEA and relevant financial legislation RESPONSIBILITIES Ensure the smooth and efficient running of the Payroll section within the Finance Division Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll and related transactions Ensure good governance and sound controls to comply with legislation Continuous improvement of payroll-based business processes and systems
